Rehabilitation hotel Intermezzo

A large group of patients cannot go home immediately after a hospital stay. There is an increasing need for facilities where patients can be cared for for short periods. At the same time, an environment is offered in which patients can heal and rehabilitate quickly. Client Laurens is looking for an interior designer who can translate this into a hospitable building with the look and feel of a hotel. The hotel concept is leading, with a welcoming and therapeutic climate.    

The rehabilitation hotel has 160 rooms including guest and sanitary facilities, treatment rooms, an outpatients' clinic, catering facilities, a library cum silence centre and various workplaces for practitioners and staff. Together with the architect, we looked for sheet materials and fabrics that fit in well with the character: warm colours, comfortable fabrics, easy to clean.
