Media museum Beeld & Geluid

The striking colourful square building at the Mediapark in Hilversum is home to museum Beeld en Geluid. In the 7-storey building, you will discover the world of media. It contains an ‘Experience’ centre, offices, a large and a small theatre auditorium, a shop, an eatery with a terrace and a car park.

Interior for various purposes
Keijsers considered with the designers how the interior could be used for various purposes. For instance, the two theatre halls are used for screenings, symposiums and book presentations. Keijsers incorporated red, green and blue LED lighting in the ceiling and walls. This makes any colour pattern and colour temperature possible.
At the time, Keijsers fitted the Grand Café with eye-catching buffets, counters and seating areas. The ‘school café’ is furnished with modern fixed benches and tables. A sloping stepped part of the central hall is furnished as a cosy terrace.
